Once more I must slow down my pacingfor just a moment's time
and ask just where I am headed
and at what expense.
Involving unknowingly
lives that are better off
on some other plane
mine is too scattered
flinging involvements in a rotation
that takes only a spec
of universal time.
Shall I retreat to a place
of safety
allow myself pleasures
only seldom
living for learning
enjoying every day
with the moon and stars
until the day
I am to leave this planet.
